Caramel may have only three legs, but that doesn’t slow her down one bit. Before coming to McKamey Animal Center, she was injured and relied on us to receive the care she needed to heal. Recovering from an injury in a shelter environment can be scary and overwhelming, and animals like Caramel often have to relearn the world around them.

After her amputation and the care she needed, Caramel gradually realized she was safe, and in time, she opened up to show so much love to her favorite people and all of our clinic staff. Watching her grow healthy, happy, and confident despite all her challenges is truly a miracle, and it’s only possible because of the care and support of our community of pet lovers like you.
