Do you recognize this puppy? McKamey Animal Center is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for abandoning her.
On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, MAC received a call from a Chattanooga Gas employee reporting a small animal apparently discarded in a trash can at the former Hair Wonder Beauty Supply at 4772 Highway 58, Chattanooga. At the scene, MAC officers found a tiny puppy no more than a few weeks old, wet and hypothermic and unable to survive on its own.

Thankfully our officers found her just in time. Once she got back to MAC, we were able to stabilize her body temperature, gave her a warm meal (she ate almost a whole bottle!) and we have found a foster to help care for her in the coming weeks.
MAC is actively investigating this case of apparent animal abandonment, but we need your help, as there were no witnesses and no functioning security cameras in the vicinity. If you have any information about who might have abandoned this helpless pup, please call (423) 305-6500 ext.1.

The MAC Reward Fund allows us to offer monetary incentives for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for animal cruelty within the cities of Chattanooga, Red Bank, or Lakesite. In the event your reward donation in support of a particular animal victim goes unclaimed, it will be treated as a general donation to the McKamey Animal Center.
