Wildlife Resources

If you have found an injured or orphaned animal that is not a domesticated pet, we may be able to help! MAC has wildlife rehabbers on staff that are specially trained to assess, rehabilitate, and treat certain animals while working with local wildlife rescue partners.

McKamey Animal Center is able to accept squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, song birds, groundhogs, opossums, turtles and raptors. These animals will be transported to specialized rehabilitators in the area for further care. McKamey Animal Center is NOT able to accept foxes, skunks, coyotes, raccoons, or bats. These animals will need to be transported to a certified rabies vector rehabilitator in the area. Water fowl and deer are not allowed to be picked up. These animals are to not be picked up and the finder will need to call TWRA or USDA.
